August Second Saturday Cleanup 2024

Cape Fear River Watch is excited to partner with Keep New Hanover Beautiful for our Second Saturday Cleanup on August 10th! The cleanup will take place in the Burnt Mill Creek Watershed. The cleanup will take place from 9am-11am. Parking can be found along Metting Rd. across from the retention pond in the Avalon Apartments complex (see picture above). An address that will get you close is 329-321 Bors Run, Wilmington, NC 28403. Just look for the "Cleanup In Progress" signs! There will be a couple of spots where waterproof boots or waders are needed. If you have some please bring them with you! We will provide pickers,bags,gloves, and safety vests. As always remember to dress appropriately and bring water. We hope to see you out there!
