Summary

Join CFRW as we paddle a quiet stretch of Shelter Creek. We'll paddle about 6 miles downstream from Shaken Creek to take out (and EAT!) at the famous Holland's Seafood Restaurant.

Description

Join the CFRW paddlers for a quiet 6 mile paddle of Shelter Creek and lunch at Holland's Seafood Restaurant.

Paddlers may either meet at CFRW's Surry St. offices at 7:45am to caravan to the put-in or meet us at the put-in (the SR1520 bridge over Shaken Creek) around  8:45am. We'll unload boats and shuttle as many vehicles as possible downstream to Holland's and hopefully be underway by 9:30.  We should all be off the creek and into some fried catfish by 2:00pm.  For a map to the put in location click here, just enter your address in box A for directions.  For a map of the suttle route click here.

Current CFRW members can rent CFRW boats on a first come first served basis for $15 per boat. Contact Kemp at 910-762-5606 or kemp@cfrw.us to reserve your boat, recieve confirmation, or ask any questions you may have about the trip. Bring a PFD (unless you use a CFRW boat and then we will bring one for you), appropriate clothes, water, a camera, and whatever else you like to have with you on the water. Feel free to also bring a bag lunch to eat but keep in mind that Holland's is always a favorite part of the trip.

If you would like to join or renew before the paddle, you can click here to join online or call Jen Cole at 910-762-5606.

To help River Watch continue to bring you great programs like our Paddle Series and Educational Seminars, we ask you make a $10 donation per paddler with your registration.
(You can bring cash or check to the paddle on Saturday, but it's super easy to make the donation with your registration!).  THANK YOU!

Hope to see you on the water!
